Cat Bunk Beds

DSCN0191Kathy Greenage is pictured with the cat bunk beds she has donated funding for – 1 was for her private shelter and 1 was for “The Sanctuary@ Haafsville”.  She contacted us and finally we were able to fulfill her needs on Saturday 3/23.  In addition to the cat bunk beds that were funded we supplied 6 raised dog beds of different sizes, a small animal carrier and cat hammocks.  The hammocks are a new item we are supplying to the shelters at no cost also,  They are designed to keep the cats in cages comfortable so the could sleep in a suspended bed rather than on the wires of the cage.

I find it a true pleasure to meet with people such as Kathy who have a true concern for our four legged friends!!!  Kudos to her and all the other shelter workers who work and care for our friends on a daily basis.

I am retired after working as an industrial mechanic for most of my work career. I am married have had animals friends almost my whole life. This project that I have taken on has given me more satisfaction than my whole work career. So far over 600 beds and 60 cat bunks or towers have been made and donated to various shelters. Some new items were dog bunk beds and cat hammocks. I sleep at night knowing that in a small way we have made a difference in the life of the animals who have received our beds. We have sent beds to Nebraska, Texas, State of Washington and New Jersey. We have helped Eagle Scouts in their projects and in turn they have helped us.

Yes – they are very easy to make. You have to be able to sew or have some one to sew for you. the fabric is canvas or 500 d cordura, pipes are 1″ pvc schedule 40, Corners are available on ebay or C&S plastics. depending on the quantity you wish to make. I will measure and send you the measurements and instructions if you are interested. Depending on how many tiers you want – you need Four 3 way for each tier and the starting tier is made out of four 4 way.
