Darlington, South Carolina

Picture is of Lorraine Smith and her husband working with us to relay the beds to their shelter they help in South Carolina.  As we stated when we started this site and took on this endeavor, love of animals knows no geographical boundaries!!  We are pleased to help out this shelter and the other 20 some we have.  This type of shelter transports animals from “HIGH KILL SHELTERS” and attempts to find homes for them.  We appreciate and applaud the work that they do in behalf of our four legged friends.   Any support that you can show them would be deeply appreciated – www.darlingtonrescue.org.  She not t only volunteered to transfer the beds but also offered a donation.  The donation was graciously turned down and in turn to use it for the shelter.  These are the people involved in helping animals that make it all worthwhile.  Kudos to her and all the help she provides to our friends.

And of course my companion “Snowball” who is my foreman was there.

I am retired after working as an industrial mechanic for most of my work career. I am married have had animals friends almost my whole life. This project that I have taken on has given me more satisfaction than my whole work career. So far over 600 beds and 60 cat bunks or towers have been made and donated to various shelters. Some new items were dog bunk beds and cat hammocks. I sleep at night knowing that in a small way we have made a difference in the life of the animals who have received our beds. We have sent beds to Nebraska, Texas, State of Washington and New Jersey. We have helped Eagle Scouts in their projects and in turn they have helped us.
