Update

3/24/12 – Hillside SPCA received a delivery of beds today.  A small dog who is blind was given a bed of his own.  The shelter Staff feels he really deserves it.   By the way he is up for adoption!!!  Along with stack of carpets that was donated by Giant Carpeting. Will be posting pictures.  Also received donations from Hazleton Area Landlords Association, Atty. Frank Bognet Esq., Sandy Tunnessen who totally donated $150.00 and $60. in pipe.  Sandy is a true lover of animals and we deeply appreciate her support, remember her if you need hardware or related supplies.  Will be delivering beds to Animal Resource Center tomorrow.

So far we have donated 63 beds to Animal Shelters, this was all accomplished through donations and time donated by volunteers at no expense to the shelters.

If anybody in the Greater Hazleton Area wishes to donate their time, which we could really use!! Please get in touch with us.

Another item we could use is 1 1/4″  PVC pipe (conduit or schedule 40) along with 1″.  Quite possibly Plumbers in our area or stores may have cutoffs or pipe that may have been damaged any lengths we could use in our projects.

REMEMBER ADOPT A FRIEND FROM AN ANIMAL SHELTER FOR A LIFETIME OF LOVE, LOYALTY AND AFFECTION.

Paul Kattner

I am retired after working as an industrial mechanic for most of my work career. I am married have had animals friends almost my whole life. This project that I have taken on has given me more satisfaction than my whole work career. So far over 600 beds and 60 cat bunks or towers have been made and donated to various shelters. Some new items were dog bunk beds and cat hammocks. I sleep at night knowing that in a small way we have made a difference in the life of the animals who have received our beds. We have sent beds to Nebraska, Texas, State of Washington and New Jersey. We have helped Eagle Scouts in their projects and in turn they have helped us.
