Reaching Out

We found a way to reach out and help shelters across the miles.  We were contacted by a person, who lives in Nebraska, over how expensive are our dog beds.  We have started this as a non-profit way to help shelters with comfortable bedding for the poor little darlings in their care.  Therefore we do not charge for our beds if they can be picked up locally.  Seeing this was a long distance project I explained that shipping would cost more than the beds.  I suggested that if they could obtain pipe, cut the pipe, obtain corners and assemble in Nebraska.  I would send them 2 bed kits, one medium and one largel, with all the peices precut including the fabric.  They would be able to see how simple they are to fabricate and asssemble.  They have received the two beds and assembled them.  The lady, Wendy Pete, will be supplying shipping charges for the fabric and the cost of fabric.  We will cut and sew the fabric and ship the sewn fabric to them.  She has a scout who is using this as his project to become an Eagle Scout, congrats to him, he will cut and fabricate the beds when we ship the fabric.  Thank You Wendy Pete for having consideration for our four legged friends and coordinating this on your end.  She is on facebook send her a thank you in her messages, she is covering material costs for all 25 beds HERSELF.important

We will help any shelter in the same manner anywhere they are – please contact this if you think this will work out for your area.

I am retired after working as an industrial mechanic for most of my work career. I am married have had animals friends almost my whole life. This project that I have taken on has given me more satisfaction than my whole work career. So far over 600 beds and 60 cat bunks or towers have been made and donated to various shelters. Some new items were dog bunk beds and cat hammocks. I sleep at night knowing that in a small way we have made a difference in the life of the animals who have received our beds. We have sent beds to Nebraska, Texas, State of Washington and New Jersey. We have helped Eagle Scouts in their projects and in turn they have helped us.
