What have we been up to?

This is two dediccat peopleated persons from the Carbon County Cat shelter in Jim Thorpe,  they contacted us if we had any Cat items available at the time they called I was in too good of health. But time heals all, and our four legged friends needed me, and they are moving into a new shelter where our four legged friends will be in community rooms. I managed to make Cat Bunk Beds, Cat towers and a new item cat toys along with some cat hammocks. our only aim in life is to give our four legged friends a comfortable place to sleep and wait their forever home. They had to make two trips as there was not enough room in the van they had.  The cats will be out of cages and free to roam in community rooms WE WISH THEM WELL.  We also resized the large beds as Lowes does not carry 1 1/4″ schedule 40 pipe in 10′ sticks any more.  Right now we have some beds available for any shelters that are interested in Picking them up.  Please get in touch with us on our web site. We supplied Animal Haven in Washington with two kit beds and about 27 covers.  They were remodeling a shelter in their state and cut the pipe and assembled them on site.  This is another way we are working with shelters. We have a shelter from New Jersey coming up before Christmas to pick up some beds also.

Now I have to ask for donations to further the cause – we could use funding, pvc pipe in 1/2″, 1 1/4″, and 1″. 1 1/4″ 3 way corners, Canvas we recently had a donation from Mary Ann Kline of canvas tents they make excellent dog beds when cut into sizes.  Even old dog & cat items if clean we can pass them on to shelters. our only wish in life is to see all of our four legged friends adopted if this is not possible we wish to make them as comfortable as they can be and not sleeping on cold floors in shelters. We also want to thank the shelter workers who are faced with decisions in life I would not want and provide care and shelter for our abandoned animals. It really tears me up to see and hear on facebook of dogs that are given back to shelters that are toooo old.  I hope that the term “KARMA” also faces the owners of the dogs that were given up.

I am retired after working as an industrial mechanic for most of my work career. I am married have had animals friends almost my whole life. This project that I have taken on has given me more satisfaction than my whole work career. So far over 600 beds and 60 cat bunks or towers have been made and donated to various shelters. Some new items were dog bunk beds and cat hammocks. I sleep at night knowing that in a small way we have made a difference in the life of the animals who have received our beds. We have sent beds to Nebraska, Texas, State of Washington and New Jersey. We have helped Eagle Scouts in their projects and in turn they have helped us.
